"Auntie Kate & The Uncles of Funk perform live at the Victoria Blues Bash" in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This performance is part of the **Vancouver Island Live Concert Series (2016)**—a personal project documenting exceptional live performances across Vancouver Island through professional multitrack audio recording and multicamera concert production. For this festival performance, I integrated my custom mobile multitrack recording system with the festival's professional live sound production, allowing me to capture isolated audio while the front-of-house engineers mixed the live show for the audience. Multiple cameras captured the performance, and after the festival all audio and video were brought back to my studio where I completed the full post-production process. **Post-Production by Kory Burns Creative** • Multitrack audio mixing • Audio mastering • Audio/video synchronization • Multicamera concert editing • Final concert production As both a musician and producer, my goal has always been to preserve the excitement, musicianship, and atmosphere of a live performance while creating a polished concert experience that remains true to what the audience experienced. --- **Produced by Kory Burns Creative** *Formerly OpenGlobeSound* Specializing in: • Live Performance Post-Production • Multitrack Audio Mixing & Mastering • Multicamera Concert Video Editing 🌐 Website: https://koryburnscreative.ca If you're a production company, venue, festival, or artist looking for professional remote concert post-production, I'd be happy to connect. --- **About the Vancouver Island Live Concert Series** In the summer of 2016, I built a mobile multitrack recording studio and travelled throughout Vancouver Island recording concerts, festivals, and live performances. Every production was mixed, mastered, synchronized, and edited in my studio, documenting an unforgettable season of exceptional musicians and live music. #VictoriaBluesBash #AuntieKateAndTheUnclesOfFunk #LiveBlues #ConcertRecording #LiveMusic #AudioMixing #MultitrackRecording #VideoProduction #Multicam #VancouverIsland

If you've ever battled the dreaded shanks, this song is for you. "I Got the Shanks" is an original comedy golf music video that celebrates one of golf's most frustrating (and funniest) experiences. Every golfer knows the feeling—a perfect warm-up one minute, then suddenly every shot rockets sideways. Welcome to the club! Created in collaboration with Billy Bogey, this production combines original music, humour, and creative video editing to capture the emotional roller coaster that golfers know all too well. Whether you've had the shanks yourself or know someone who's "temporarily quarantined" at the driving range, we hope this gives you a laugh. 🏌️ Tell us in the comments: Have you ever had the shanks? How long did they last? Deep Dark Truths is an original collaborative song exploring the hidden emotional struggles that so many people carry beneath the surface. Sometimes the hardest words to believe are, "I'm fine." This song reflects on the masks we wear, the battles we keep to ourselves, and the importance of compassion, connection, and simply checking in on one another. This project brought together musicians recording from different locations, with every performance carefully assembled into a finished production. Production Organized, arranged, produced, mixed, mastered, and edited by Kory Burns. Every musician contributed their performance remotely before the recordings were brought together in my studio for the final mix and master. Song Credits Lyrics & Lead Vocals Jason Kozun Bass • Drums • Horns Kory Burns Keyboards Paul Knowler Guitar Al Hamblin Arrangement • Mixing • Mastering Kory Burns This song is about empathy, understanding, and recognizing that many people quietly carry burdens we cannot see. “"On the Other Side of Morning" is an original song created through an international collaboration inspired by the resilience, courage, and human cost of the war in Ukraine. What makes this project especially meaningful is that it was created entirely through remote collaboration. Musicians and producers from Canada worked together with vocalist Mitchelle George in Uyo, Nigeria, where her vocal performance and video were recorded by a local producer before being brought together in my studio for the final production. Despite living on different continents, we were united by one purpose—to create a song that reflects compassion, hope, and the universal desire for peace. Production This project was organized, produced, mixed, mastered, and edited by Kory Burns. The music video combines performances recorded in our individual home studios with carefully selected visual footage to tell the story through music and imagery. Song Credits Music by Kory Burns Cam MacInnes Paul Knowler Lyrics by Paul Knowler Musicians 🎸 Kory Burns – Bass 🎸 Cam MacInnes – Acoustic Guitar, Lap Steel 🎹 Paul Knowler – Piano 🎤 Mitchelle George (Uyo, Nigeria) – Lead Vocals 🎤 Benjamin Dyck – Vocal Harmonies Special thanks to the Nigerian production team Papa Udeme for recording and filming Mitchelle's performance. Music has always had the power to connect people across borders, cultures, and languages. We hope this song honours those whose lives have been forever changed by war while reminding us that compassion is something we all share.
